Join us for coffee and conversation! The Urban Arts Space is hosting OSU's Theater Department for their performance of Machinal.


Without spoiling the story, Machinal is a harsh look at what happens when a young eager woman keen for life and love is trampled by the industrial quality of her life.


On Tuesday, February 17 at 12:00 OSU Theater Professor and Director, Lesley Ferris, provides insight into Sophie Treadwell's investigation of the motivations of an apparently harmless stenographer who is convicted of and executed for commiting murder.


This story has the potential to spark debates that have receded from public attention. Issues such as: the human struggle, personal motivations and justifications, rehabilitation standards and the ever-controversial topic of the death penalty.
